Hewanorra International Airport is in the south, so transfers to the north run approximately 90 minutes. That sounds like a lot, but the scenic drive along the west coast is genuinely beautiful and most guests do not mind it once they are on the island.

THE SOUTH AND SOUTHWEST: Soufriere and the Pitons
This is the dramatic side of Saint Lucia. The Pitons are here. The volcanic mud baths at Sulphur Springs are here. Sugar Beach sits between the two peaks and is one of the most visually stunning resort settings in the entire Caribbean. The south is more remote, the pace is slower, and the scenery is unlike anything in the north.
