Why did you choose to have a destination wedding?
We chose a destination wedding because we wanted a wedding week/event instead of just one night. It was so wonderful to have multiple days of spending time with our closest family and friends. It was wonderful to all go on vacation together, and be able to celebrate our wedding while there as well!

Why did you choose Puerto Vallarta for your destination wedding? What were the deciding factors?
We wanted the Mexico beach vibe but also love lush, green foliage as well. Puerto Vallarta, mainly Bahia Mita resort, and the perfect combination of beach, ocean, and rainforest tropical vibes! We also felt like the resort was relatively affordable for our guests.

What was your most memorable moment during your destination wedding?
I think the actual wedding day and reception. It was perfect. Better than we could have imagined!

What was your experience working with Kerri and Sunlover Travel?

Working with Kerri was wonderful. She is an expert and made the process go very smoothly. Having her insight was so helpful. It was wonderful having a resource for our family and friends to contact with questions during the booking process. She also made booking and arranging transportation, etc a breeze for our guests.

What would you do differently? What advice would you give to other couples who are considering a destination wedding?

I don’t think I would do anything differently! We had the best experience. My advice would be to just do it! It’s definitely worth it, and you will make the greatest memories. My best advice is do not go crazy on all the decor/upgrades and keep it simple. The destination backdrop is the most beautiful part!

What was the best part about having a destination wedding?

Having all your closest family and friends in one hotel/location for an extended period of time. We really felt so grateful and happy to have everyone together for 3-5 days. We talk often about how we will probably never have all of our loved ones in the same location again so it made us cherish every moment.
